ENTERPRISE SUGAR MANUFACTURING LEGACY SYSTEM MIGRATION
A large sugar manufacturing company wants to ensure critical functionalities from legacy systems are transferred seamlessly to the new centralized system.
A top sugar manufacturing enterprise was migrating and consolidating multiple legacy applications that generate and deal with massive amounts of data spanning the entire process of sugar manufacturing.
Part of the consolidation is the integration of the previously separate systems of two production plants located hundreds of miles apart into a single system.
With the new unified system about to be deployed, the client wants to test the coverage of all scenarios from start to finish and make sure that all existing functionalities are properly migrated into the new system.
A QA tester was deployed to oversee this project, working closely with the client and the developers. Manual Testing was utilized for the project which included:
Data gathering to understand full process requirements and align to specs of the new system
Tested all functionalities from start to finish of the entire process
Create test scripts based on specifications
Developed test scenarios for the internal development team
Developed test scripts for on-ground User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for actual end users
Test prototypes against test scenarios and test scripts
Application of test scenarios
Complete reporting of results on how many issues are encountered per manufacturing process
Conducted onsite UAT to end users
After identifying critical points and applying necessary updates and adjustments.
User Acceptance Testing Passed
Functionality Achieved according to specifications
